Purpose
The foundation was originally established in 1996 to promote the health and wellbeing of elders served within our organization through the creation of additional financial resources for our service entities. In 2006 the foundation was renamed HavenGroup Foundation (2006) Inc. as part of an organizational re-branding and re-focusing process begun in June 2005.

2006 Fundraising Goal
The Foundation Board has set a goal to raise $125,000 for projects at Cedarwood Supportive Housing and Rest Haven Nursing Home.

Resource Creation
Foundation resource creation is based on a three prong approach:

Annual fundraising for specific projects within that year.
Capital project fundraising for projects more than one year into the future
Charitable gifting of a wide range of cash and / or assets options, which on receipt are invested and the annual interest earned is utilized as determined by the Foundation Board of Directors.

Fund For Tomorrow
The single purpose for the Fund For Tomorrow is resource creation for long term investment purposes and the interest earned from investments will be directed to various needs as determined by the Board of Directors. The mechanism for resource creation here is a variety of charitable gifting tools that can be utilized depending on individual goals, estate planning and desired timing. Annual Golf Fest
Haven Group Foundation 2007 Project Campaign sets $120,000 goal
The Foundation began an annual Golf Fest (50 holes) in late spring of 2005, and over the past two years over $100,000 has been raised for annual projects. The 2007 Golf Fest took place at the Lake of the Sandhills Golf Course, Buffalo Point, on May 31.
Your involvement in the 2007 Foundation project will assist in meeting the following needs: *New tables, safety approved chairs, refrigerator and other equipment for the Rest Haven multi-purpose room, and two video projectors for Rest Haven ($25,900); *New dining tables, chairs and glass cooler for the Woodhaven Congregate Meal Program, and one video projector ($37,600); *New dining tables, chairs, lighting, video projector and dietary storage for Cedarwood Supportive Living ($56,500).
*You may prefer to make an annual donation to the Campaign, rather than golf:
Bronze $500-$1,000; Silver $1,000-$2,500; Gold $2,500-$4,999; Platinum $5,000 or more
Donation receipts will be issued for all donations and public donor recognition at a bronze level or higher were published in The Carillon following the golf tournament.
